Exact hosts its software solutions for its customers. This is an extensive and complex operation involving significant investment and resources. We leverage hosting and licensing with major Cloud Providers like Amazon, Microsoft, and Google. As our customer base grows continuously, so does the need for data that we process and store. In addition, our software products become more advanced over the years, demanding the most efficient Cloud infrastructure. Monitoring and optimizing these effects on the costs is pivotal for our overall Business roadmap, and plays an essential role in this journey and in this position.

In this role, you are responsible for monitoring and optimizing our hosting and licensing costs, bringing a helicopter view while understanding the technical, financial, and compliance implications. Your role and responsibility can be divided over 5 topics:

Cost optimization:

• Work closely with your technical colleagues to look for ways in order not to let costs grow linearly, but to realize savings. Identify specific cost optimization opportunities within our cloud environment.
• Drive and pursue optimizing resource configurations, assess Cloud workload, identifying unused resources, and applying cost-saving strategies.

Business Cases:

• Draw up business cases and discuss with the managers of the hosting departments, development managers on well architected optimization opportunities, framework and strategies.
• Own stakeholder relationship and drive cost review meetings
• Partner on new projects with cost assessment and forecast while working with the Infra and Development Teams

• Identify and track of KPI's and forecasts.
• Build and maintain cost and forecasting models with our technical specialists to provide current and future spending insights.

• Understand the contract terms and pricing of Cloud providers such as Amazon, Microsoft, and Google and arrive at an optimal way to deploy resources in the different environments. Support and partner with our engineering & platform teams with those Cloud suppliers on commercial topics

• Monitor compliance with supplier contracts and ensure that all requirements and obligations are met, including audits and reporting.

• Financial Expertise, interested in cloud and cloud environments, and ability to combine this interest with financial knowledge and acumen.
• Experience in creating detailed business cases and presenting them to stakeholders.
• Good understanding of vendor management and cost models
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
• Experience driving cost savings initiatives and achieving objectives.
• Experience in contract management, including negotiations, compliance, and monitoring of compliance issues.
• Experience with Cloud providers such as Amazon, Microsoft and Google is an advantage.
