As a Quality Engineer at Exact in our product teams for the HR Solution "Officient" (part of Exact), you deliver best in class solutions to our customers that help them grow their business. Officient is an SAAS HR platform for HR administration of small and mid-sized organizations. This HR platform can easily be used by smaller organizations, who want to have their people data in one place, and who want to facilitate basic HR processes.

Get all your basic HR operations in order and connect/integrate with common payroll applications to get payroll up and running. Officient comes with everything you might expect from a lightweight operating system, including document management, employee self-service (app) and analytics.

The job

You're making the work of our clients easier by testing and improving smart functionalities to our HR solutions. You feel the responsibility to our vast group of users to keep the product running smoothly and analyze issues swiftly. You keep a close eye on our solutions functionally and technically to improve user experience and back-end stability. You will also closely collaborate with our support, product, and other development team.

Your Team

You'll receive a warm welcome from your direct colleagues in Exact Technology, based in Delft and Ghent (Belgium). There are over 600 tech-colleagues from all over the world, a friendly, helpful, and enthusiastic group of people. Exact has multiple PHP-stacks and we encourage and facilitate knowledge sharing across the different teams.

What you bring

For the position of Quality Engineer, we expect that you:

• Love software development and everything that comes with it;
• Have the drive to contribute to the highest level of quality, with a strong attention to detail;
• Are adaptable, you love an agile way of working, know when to challenge existing processes, propose improvements;
• Have a good understanding of web-based development (front and backend), have some experienced in writing code or coded test scenarios, and can also manually review both web application functionalities and API's;
• Are inquisitive, willing to learn, grow and share what has been learned;
• Have good knowledge of SQL and are able to wright strong queries;
• Have strong analytical skills, which are needed to evaluate situations both from a high-level perspective as well as in detail, or delve into specific problem situations our customers might be facing;
• Like to work on HR/business SAAS software, and possibly bring a working knowledge on HR-specific functionality;
• Have a bachelor's degree, post graduate diploma, professional degree or equivalent level in computer science or information technology;
• Good communication skills (fluent in English, both verbally and written).
