As the Senior Accounting Specialist, you will be part of the Record-to-Report team and run the accounting and reporting activities of Exact including our acquired companies. Together with your colleagues, you are responsible for accurate financials with regards to Profit and Loss statements and the balance sheet. You prepare balance sheet analyses and discuss monthly results and deviations.

• Accounting activities for several of our (international and acquired) entities.
• Ensure compliance, quality of financial data, accurate and timely monthly reporting.
• Prepare balance sheet analysis and discuss the month results and deviations.
• Develop and improve internal policies and procedures and participate in improvement projects.
• You work with internal stakeholders in and outside the finance community.
• You prepare and review evidence for Internal and Annual audit requests and you provide evidence to Auditors and explain variances in evidence.

Exact is growing, both organically and by M&A activity. Specifically related to new acquisitions, you (in collaboration with our integration team):

• Proactively analyze and review performance and explain performance and financial results of the acquisitions to stakeholders (Local management, Business Control and Finance organization).
• Improve reporting and KPI's aligned with management and reporting team.
• Implement Exact Control Framework.
• Oversee multiple accounting processes and integrate these in processes and procedures native to Exact.
• Capture, monitor, understand and report on risks, ensure that actions are taken timely. Proactively raise issues to Manager Accounting & Control and seek resolution, but also report on progress.
• Temporarily take over specific tasks in the financial process with the aim of integrating them at earliest convenience.
• Verification of data quality and integrity of performance and financial reports from the acquisition.
• Provide regular technical IFRS/accounting support were needed.

The Record-to-Report team is part of the Global Shared Service Center & Reporting organization. In this role you will be reporting to the Manager Accounting & Control.

For this role we are looking for a candidate with a master's or a bachelor's degree in business economics, Accounting, Finance, or related discipline in combination with 3-5 years of relevant working experience in an international environment. Next to this:

• Knowledge on leading accounting principles (IFRS).
• Fluent in English. Fluent in French is a big advantage for our Belgium acquisitions.
• Analytical skills, flexible attitude, pro-active and strong communication skills
• Ability to build and maintain internal relationships.
• Skilled in Excel and have an interest in data analysis and new data tooling, familiarity with Power BI
